Tarraxo

Tarraxo is a relatively new and increasingly popular dance style that emerged from Kizomba and has its roots in Angola. It retains the close connection, smoothness, and grounded movements of Kizomba and Tarraxinha. However, Tarraxo distinguishes itself with more isolated movements and a greater emphasis on engaging the upper body.

Unlike Kizomba, which often features more fluid and continuous movements, Tarraxo focuses on precise, isolated motions that create a unique and captivating dance experience. The music for Tarraxo is always electronic, setting it apart from traditional Kizomba music. It is characterized by a strong beat and prominent percussion instruments, which drive the rhythm and energy of the dance.

This combination of elements makes Tarraxo a dynamic and expressive dance style, allowing dancers to explore new ways of moving and connecting with their partners. The electronic music adds an additional layer of intensity and excitement, making each dance session both challenging and exhilarating.
