Hansel's dance journey started on the streets of Havana, where he fell in love with Cuban popular and urban music from a young age. He received formal training at well-known schools under Tony Menéndez and Narciso Medina, focusing on Cuban folklore, contemporary dance, and ballet. At just 15, he co-founded the urban group "Los Vakeros", gaining recognition for their amazing performances in reggaeton, hip-hop, and fusion styles. His talent as a dancer and choreographer opened doors for him, leading to collaborations on various audiovisual projects and appearances on Cuban television.
Driven by a desire to explore different dance styles, Hansel joined the esteemed Cuban show company "Danza Mora", where he blended hip-hop elements with traditional Cuban dances. He also trained at Parisien and the world famous Cabaret Tropicana de Cuba, refining his skills in Cuban folklore and ballet. He then went on to work as a dancer in Tropicana in 2015.
While in Tropicana he wanted to continue growing in dance and took the entrance examination at the I.S.A. (Higher Institute of Art) in the specialty of Folklore. Although he passed the exams to enter the university, he instead decided to take the opportunity to go on a six-month adventure to Turkey as an independent artist with a Cuban show group. In 2017, he arrived in Estonia, where he has since dedicated his time to teaching and sharing his culture and experience with the local community.
